Join us this fall in a series called "Directionally Challenged." We'll be studying the best ways for Christians to make decisions over the next seven weeks. We hope that you will be here and invite a friend to join you as we look as this very practical series. Wednesdays - Echoes in Eternity Beginning Wednesday August 25, we will be looking into the lives of 10 men and women who impacted the Kingdom of God in modern history. We will have their biographies for sale and we encourage each church member to read two of those biographies this fall as we see the impact on eternity that one life can have. A fellowship dinner is served from 5:00-6:15 PM and "Echoes in Eternity" begins at 6:15 PM in the fellowship hall. This is a great evening to enjoy fellowship around the tables and be refreshed spiritually mid-week. Equipping University Our 5-week Sunday night classes begin Sunday night September 12 at 5:30 and 6:30. Euipping U is for anyone who wants to let their root grow down deep in to their walk with Christ. Classes, times, topics and locations can be found HERE. You will not want to miss out on this unique opportunity to grow in your faith! 2010 Pictorial Directory Begining in September, First Irving will begin online sign ups for picture sessions for our 2010 Pictorial Directory. Sessions can be booked September running through October and can be done online by clicking the link HERE. Plan your sessions now. Registration begins August 15th! Love & Marriage Weekend First Irving will host our 6th Love and Marriage Conference Friday, Sept 24 - Saturday, Sept 25 weekend. The cost is only $20 per couple for two meals and 8 hours of marriage enrichment. Since we are licensed by the state, engaged couples can get their $60 marriage license fee waived by attending this class before the wedding date. Christmas on Main Christmas on Main Street this December will include a Christmas Concert by Selah, winner of six Dove Awards, two consecutive Dove Award nominations for Group of the Year, two #1 hits and five Top 10 singles. They will be at FBC Irving on December 12th evening. We are asking business owners in the church to help underwrite the concert, if you are interested in your business being advertised in the program for that concert please contact John Durham for underwriting packages. Love & Marriage Weekend
First Irving will host our 6th Love and Marriage Conference Friday, Sept 24 - Saturday, Sept 25 weekend. The cost is only $20 per couple for two meals and 8 hours of marriage enrichment. Register in The HUB or with Melissa Murrell Fellowship Meal & Prayer Gathering We invite you to our Fellowship Meal and Prayer Gathering every Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Fellowship meal is served from 5:00 - 6:15 PM. Meals are $4.50 for adults, $3.50 for students, and $2.50 for K-5th Grade. Ages 4 and younger eat free. Prayer Gathering begins at 6:15 PM, and includes a time of worship, teaching, and prayer as a church family. The Fellowship Meal and Prayer Gathering are held each week in the fellowship hall. FaithWorks Commitment Faith works. It always has. FaithWorks is the name of First Baptist Irving's capital campaign begun in the spring of 2008. We have already seen an amazing amount of commitment from those who made pledges. Our prayer as the body of believers is that as we commit to, and give over the next several years, that the Lord would continue to unite our hearts, keeping us focused on the biblical goal of the Kingdom, and to complete the vision. Now is the time when we can join in the unparalleled opportunity to reach more for Christ in our community. This exciting service uses choir, great hymns of the faith, and special messages through song. Will James in in leadership of worship through song each week. CONTEMPORARY SERVICE with Band: 10:00 & 11:15 AM. This service uses a band to lead in ancient and modern songs of worship. Jared Billups is in leadership of worship through song each week. WEDNESDAYS Join us on Wednesday for FELLOWSHIP MEAL and PRAYER GATHERING all beginning at 5:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
