Session 1 - 5:30PM - 6:30PM

New Life Class - Led by Brent & Michelle Stanphill
Meets in the the Worship Den
Hear the vision and direction of First Baptist Irving. Take a tour of the church and learn more about opportunities and ministries. This class will be offered for three weeks.

Teaching God’s Word - Led by Jennifer Durham, Jason Hatch, Susie Corbett, Tyler Self & Bill Ehrke
Meets in Fellowship Hall
This class is for all present teachers and all potential teachers of God's Word. Teaching God’s Word will give you resources, ideas, preparation insight, Biblical knowledge, and some doctrinal principles as you "handle accurately the Word of God."

Route 66: Travel Through the Bible - Led by Wayne Watkins
Meets in M104
This class will be using the keyword learning system to teach the “Big Idea” of all 66 Old and New Testament Books with easy-to-memorize visuals.

Battling the Green-Eyed Monster - Led by Alicia Frick
Meets in M207, Women’s Only Class
It's the unseen ingredient in many relational conflicts in the Word and in our own lives. We do not have to be a "jealous" person to be struck with bouts of envy. When can I recognize when admiration turns to envy? What scriptural truths can free us from the chains of envy? What does it mean to have a godly jealousy and zeal in our lives? We will use God's Word spoken to His servant Asaph to uncover these truths and more.

Colossians - Led by Matt Spohn

Paul wrote the Christians in Colossae one of the most profound letters in the New Testament. The theme is the completeness of Christ and our completeness in Him. Join this book study as we walk through this outstanding book of theology as it outlines the Complete Sufficiency of Christ and His Gospel.

A Child to Nurture - Led by Adrienne Sittig
Meets in M210
The love of a child brings birth-families and foster/adoptive families together. A unique family unit is created. We will explore ways to support and prepare both parents and children for this unique journey. The focus will be on preparing the child to embrace their positive attributes and learn to make healthy choices/boundaries. Whether you have started your foster/adoptive journey or find yourself interested in exploring the possibility, let us journey together to lay a foundation for God to bring a child to wholeness in Him alone.

Stand Fire: The Armor of God - Led by Brett Bacon
Meets in M204
A detailed study of God's provision of protection for the Spiritual battles of this world. The study will feature an in-depth look at the person and work of Satan, each piece of The Armor and practical ways to engage and "stand firm" in the face of Spiritual attack.

Battles Men Face - Led by Stacey Wright
Meets in M206, Men’s Only Class
This class will look at a different battle men face each week, some scriptural
references and practical wisdom, and then some discussion on facing those battles.

Student Ministries Growing U (6th-12th Grades) - Led by Jay Miller
Meets on 3rd Floor Kinkeade
The High School and Middle School ministries will begin and end each week on the 3rd floor. It will be a grab bag assortment of fellowship, discipleship and service throughout the 5 weeks. We look forward to you joining us this fall.

Children’s New Believer Class - Led by Jennifer Mosty
Meets in K206
For children (K-3rd Grade) who have recently accepted Christ as their personal Savior, or who may have questions about what it means to be a Christian. We will discuss salvation, baptism, prayer, worship and Bible study. Please contact Jennifer Mosty to register for the class and for the workbook.

BOUNCE - Led by Holly Smith (Drama), Krystal Billups (Worship), and Jared Billups
Meets in Preschool Suite
An interactive worship experience for all three and four year old children. Kids will learn to express their love for God through worship and dance, as well as learning biblical truths through drama, puppets, and teaching.

Orality Evangelism – Led by Allison James

Come to our 4-week introductory session and learn about the concept of orality and storytelling as a means of evangelism. We’ll equip you with a new tool to use in evangelism that’s perfect for anyone, any age.
