LOVE & MARRIAGE WEEKEND
Marriage is the sweetest rough road ever. It is messy bliss, it is difficult beauty, and it is an aggravating blessing. In other words, marriage is great and it is tough!
God has a funny sense of humor in asking the uniquely created male and the completely opposite uniquely created female to enter into a covenant relationship until death separates you. But the power of a vow in God’s eyes is more valued than the humor of two opposite people making a marriage work. We strongly believe that there is no such thing as too much pre-marital counseling and too much marriage counseling.
Each semester First Irving hosts a two day Love and Marriage Weekend for nearly and newlyweds. The cost is only $30 per couple and the conference covers two meals, childcare, and includes 8 hours of marriage enrichment.
Because First Irving is licensed by the state, engaged couples can get the $60 state portion of the marriage license fee waived by attending this class before their wedding date.

Men and women, from the start, have always had distinct needs. Discover two needs of yourself and your spouse, and how you can seek to fulfill those needs within marriage.
Your Spouse’s Personality
Each spouse (or soon-to-be-spouse) will take a personality test and discover how to best communicate and relate to each other.
